skimmer and lighting questions

Ok i am debating between keeping the octopus skimmer this 180 is coming with or switching to a lifereef? Or maybe run both? I've never used either so any advice or tips would be great!


The lighting this tanks coming with is 2x250 de mh and 1x175 de mh and 2 six foot super atictinic VHOs! Should I keep vhos or switch to t5hos and what temp bulb for the MH? Also should I change the 175 to a 250 or just add another 175? Or do you think what I have is enough? I won't have more them 2-4 easy to keep sps at most!

Lifereef skimmers are a bit outdated(skimmer technology) IMO. What octo skimmer is it?

I agree that the lighting is fine.
