G'day everyone, does hang on back skimmers make bubbles too? Are they harmful? How to stop them with minimal space and effort? Thank you in advice for your replies.

What kind of skimmer? Its not harmful, just unsightly. If the skimmer is new, it might need some break-in time, or might need some experimenting to turn the dial slowly until you find the sweet spot.

not sure i understand the question.

A skimmers whole function is to create bubbles which will bind proteins to the surface of the bubbles in the reaction chamber and ultimately remove then via fractionation along with other added benefits.

are you referring to microbubbles?

most HOBs will create microbubbles when new until the skimmers slime coating develops and the skimmer breaks in.

what type of tank, what size?

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
