Skimmer choice: Nyos Quantum 160 vs Red Sea RSK 300 ac

Which would be better for a moderately stocked 140G FOWLR?

Noise is a big factor but skimming performance is obviously also huge.
The more recent reviews of the Nyos on BRS are less than stellar.

The Red Sea is the older ac version.

You will get a million different responses, dependent upon which one each person is currently using lol. That being said, I absolutely love my Nyos skimmer. Easy to clean, quiet, and performs well. I have never used Red Sea skimmers before though.

I have both skimmers. The Nyos to me is quieter but I keep the skimmers on a pad in the sump to reduce the vibration noise. They both work well but the Red Sea injection-molded plastic is a little bit off, so getting the cup out is not so easy.
