Skimmer needs

So got my hard plumbing done to my sump and getting a couple gyro pumps for Xmas.. so gonna fill the bad boy up and start the cycling process!! Super excited. When it’s completed gonna introduce a pair of black lightning oha clowns. Going to use socks in the sump and a 10% water change weekly as planned. Now how long do I have before I need to add the reef octo skimmer I want to get? As I’m still needing to add lights to tank which is next big buy after new year.
