I have a aqua medic skimmer but when I got it the pump was faulty.
The Venturi was part of the pump
So I've removed the pump (and also the pumps Venturi as a result) and have plumbed the skimmer body directly into my manafold.
To get air into my line I've drilled a hole into some fittings and put a washer in side the pipe to further create the low pressure point and suck the air in.
I've attached the old airline and muffler to this home made Venturi and it all works great.
However I have a lot of noise from the pipe itself where the water and air at mixing and also where the water comes out of the skimmer back into the sump.
Any ideas on how to reduce some of this noise? it sounds like a pond fountain in my house.
Also if anyone knows how to open the aqua medic so I can clean the inside it that would be fantastic too :)

Add an extension to the outlet tube and it should silence it

It's a bit of a deceptive photo but there is clear pipe running about 4" below the water line on the outlet (just hard to see because it's super clean) most of my nose seems to come from my inlet where the air and water mix
