Skimmer only?

So I got a 55 and I wanna replace my pse3 with just a protein skimmer no filer can I do that ? The pse3 is good its got a IV sterilizer I like that but the protein skimmer part is just too much micro bubbles

Skimmer and good live rock,circulation is all you need. But it looks to me like you have a algae problem. What are your water parameters? Most algae problem are caused by excess nutrients or phosphates.

It's good now haha I use ro water and change 5-10 every week
