Skimmer question

Looking to buy new skimmer for my 120gal reef tank. I'm currently running a ap600 on it but would like to try something different, was kinda thinking of a cone skimmer this time. Been looking at the bubble king's kinda pricey, but they seem worth the money any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

ATB 840. I was using an ATB small with upgraded mini airstar (which is virtually the same as an ATB 840) on a 45G w/ 30G sump and then later on a 150G w/ 40G sump and it skimmed great.

I also like the ATB skimmers as well. There are many different types of skimmers though that will do a good job and will vary in price range.

It all depends on your price range. I love my ASM G3 and got it for a good price.

For a 120 there are several great options. THe ATB of course is one of the best.

Might want to figure out a couple things first. What price range ? and what is your sump level going to be? you may need to put the skimmer on a small stand if the water is too deep. With skimmers pulling more and more air now days the skimmers have to sit in more shallow water.

Skimz SK 181
BM NAC 8
WM MF 181 ( same as skimz but with VBT and US warranty contacts )

If your sump level is going to be a little more on the shallow side the SRO is a solid choice. if its a little more in the mid range 7 to 8 in then probably the atb 840 and 9 in plus the wm , skimz and bm would good to run at these levels.

All will work great but just wanted to point out you might need a stand for some.

These are some cones to look at
