Hi I’m having problems with my skimmer lately it’s a reef octopus 110 classic even though it’s bullet proof I have micro air bubbles escaping from the body it’s actually never been a problem in the past it’s running them into the return chamber into the main display tank it’s also become noisy humming a bit more then usual gets louder when I walk away from the tank and sit on the couch I’m thinking of purchasing a new one but I need one that’s quite and just as powerful any advice would be appreciated also the parts for my 110 are hard to get in the uk hence why I’m not replacing them to solve the problem

Pictures of your setup where it is currently might be nice.
Have you taken it fully apart and cleaned it recently?

Tunze skimmers are a good choice.
I run the 9410dc and 9430dc skimmer in 4 systems.

Also a LifeReef skimmer would be a good choice as any pump can be used.

I also run a LifeReef skimmer that replaced this 9430dc.

Nice!
I have the same.
I actually run 2. I remove and clean one and install the other for a month.
I switch out the vs3-24 with an octopus 110sss which makes little to no noise.
I ran a regal 150s for years as well.
The 110sss is by far the quietest skimmer I've run at only 9w.

Check the impeller and make sure magnets not swollen and the venturi in and make sure the hole is clear/clean and lasty check impeller bushings to make sure not worn out. Also check all your water out plumbing.

I love this skimmer but I think it’s doomed to be honest had it years it’s impossible to find all the parts needed as they only sell the pump really

I recently upgraded/ replaced to Deltec and could not be happier with my choice
Same. Small footprint, VERY quiet and powerful. It should be even easier to get in the UK than here. I am surprised that not more people use them in the US.

I’ve been searching what it would be called for days thank you it’s that little black piece that has become loose letting micro bubbles through into the return chamber

Would u know what that black piece is called at the bottom of the red pipe
Would try Marine and Reef.
Just ordered the ceramic shaft from them for my 110sss and have ordered many parts from them over the years.
I believe they are in the UK but probably mistaken on that.
They have lots of stuff.
Neither of these parts have I ever gone bad.
If they are cracked, yes but I'd try a citric acid bath, clean them up and rinse in water, put back together again.
If they're still both really loose you can try a bit of silicone around and replace.
I've never had to do this.
A good clean always took care of the problem.
