Anyone you listed should work. It's only matter of pricing and whether they can fit into your sump.
Other brands you might want to look into. Reef Octopus, ASM, AVAST to name a few.

Think 7 if heavily stocked, 9 if you want oversized if running bio pellets or whatever

Be careful when you take apart to clean. In particular the screw in center that holds bubble plate

I think I choose the magnus elite 9. but this requires more than 9-1 / 2 "of water. I am at 8-3 / 4 almost 9.
it will work.?

I don't know magus exactly, but most give a number that is optimal for that skimmer for pump depth, which is usually around 6" and of course pump needs to be submerged, so I'd guess while you may be slightly under optimal it should be just fine.

Also if keeping budget down, don't be afraid of reaching for a used reefocto, many around right now w/ so many people switching to dc pump skimmers, still very good skimmers to be had(I actually prefer ac pump skimmers still)

The Aquamax cone series work very well and are priced right.

Your water height is fine with those.

Mine is silent.
