Skimz Skimmer question

Mine runs on the drier side. Pretty happy with it.

I see yours gets scum build up below the neck, I never had that with the RO skimmer but it had a taller neck so i guess these will build up scum in the chamber

Yes, mine builds up below the collection cup as well.

That build up isn't as much now --- not sure if it was from the tank being just set up (( with dry rock )), or the skimmer breaking in. I still wipe it down when I do my water changes, but it isn't nearly as bad now.

Yep, I'm sure you would be fine dropping it back in 9"
