I have started to see these little anemones pop up, i dont think they are the standard aptasia… They have a foot that looks like a little mushroom when the tentacles are not fully extended. Any ideas? @vetteguy53081

I have no clue as well. Confuzzlement abounds.I don’t have a clue but I am curious. @WheatToast ?
Need pic under white lighting but don’t believe it’s an aptasiaThey retract into their foot during the day and look like a mushroom
I’ll see what I can do when I get home. It stays retracted during the day.N

No idea in this case, unfortunately. I know a bunch of nems that have one or two similar parts (out of the tentacles, body, and foot), but none that match all three (and taxonomically, some of them are very different).
Wow, even you don't know what it is. Might be a new species lolNo idea in this case, unfortunately. I know a bunch of nems that have one or two similar parts (out of the tentacles, body, and foot), but none that match all three (and taxonomically, some of them are very different).
I agree that clear, close-up pics of one under white light may help with an ID though.
I moved the plug front and center, I even attached one to a frag plug to see if it does anything different in a higher par. Luckily, these are not in my main display system. Here they are under white light. Tonight I will try to get images of them at lights off under white light too.
