Following.... Personally there's no way in ______ I would do a SPS tank under 50 in the DT alone. With 4 tanks I dont have enough time to need to monitor a single tank that much lol
Far more brave than I...

I had 22g nano for almost 3 years before I upgraded to a larger tank. It was fun to watch everything thrive in that tank and the lighting grew as everything started to shadow each other and battle for space.

Sorry for the blue pics, this was before I had filters.

Love the tank! Wi hope you don’t feed the tang much otherwise he will outgrow the tank in a few months! I like the overflow, I am going to mount stuff on the sides of my Rubbermaid like that to make some room.

that w be one of the smallest. my friend's pico reef, 8th yr, top shelf sps in a fishbowl. no filters at all, just weekly partial water changes and feed for eight years, no dosing. the blue heliopora is neat and rare

Cool pico. Heliopora has been around for a long time and is probably the most misidentified/labeled soft coral (True octo coral) out there, but cool nonetheless.

I just picked up a piece of that recently and I think I lost it under the rocks. Is it that rare? Maybe I should try and fish it out.

It's not as common as it used to be, but it's definitely something to hold on to. It's just a unique coral, as it's the only one of its kind and has its own class. A true soft coral that appears to be a scleractinia.

Yea my buddy has a huge colony at his shop that’s been growing for years and he snapped me off a branch cluster for free. Very cool coral.

What lights are u running and how long???

What do u dose with or calcium reactor?

What do u run for nutrient export?

Carbon dosing or refugium?
I used dosing pumps to dose NaHCO3 and CaCl2 and MgCl2.

My light led blue and purple with 4 bulbs of T5 light white and blue .

I only had 4 fish , 3 tang and 1 six line wrasse.
So there is no need to add any Carbon.
Only do water change 30% every 2 weeks.

I have a 7g SPS reef. the easier ones grow like weeds monti/stylo/BN. Only 2 acros of my 5 so far have shown a lot of growth though. Mille, tenuis, and valida have been good to me. My red planet has not been doing well. The others are too soon to tell.
