I put a favia in the tank yesterday, and have noticed it has small, white/translucent balls scattered over the polyps. I thought these were part of the coral, but I can see today that the balls are blowing slightly in the current (i.e., I don't think they're attached to the coral) and there seem to be a lot more of them.
Does anyone know what these are? Eggs of some sort? Do I need to remove them? The picture below was taken yesterday, and you can see one of the balls in the polyp on the left:
And I just took this picture now, and there are heaps more of these little balls:
Any advice or thoughts welcome!
