I don't know where exactly but peacocks have been on the menu in some street markets before. I don't think there's much exclusivity to which ones you can eat but I imagine the general consensus is its easier to store multiple spearers for long periods of time than smashers that will either find a way to bust out or kill each other off very quickly. They tend to stress and die easier too.
This had me fuming cause of how hard it is to find O. scyllarus, and ESPECIALLY because I've been searching everywhere for years for O, japonicus with no luck at all... and then you see this and wonder where the hell they're all at.
