Thought this would be the proper forum. So in our new home out back by the pool filter was what I thought crushed shell ground cover ..... upon closer examination it’s thousands of beautiful snail, Worm, Coral, and Clam skeletons! Is this even legal anymore? How would they even collect the specimens? Where they alive?.... I would assume so! This is crazy to me Based on what anyone sees
here could you identify the water region or even the Reef Type they would come from. Also look at the Coral pics. They all have a whole in the bottom almost like something lived in there. Never seen this before but maybe it’s common any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful stuff. Where do you live and how old is the house? How much of this do you have? It may be that someone (child?) collected these from the beach and basically dumped them out back. But, man, they're in good shape.

The corals with holes look almost like snail shells covered with coral....

Hello thanks for the reply, I live in the Tampa, Florida area. This has to be bought as there is probably 50 sq.Ft. Of this. I picked out some of the best and bleached them. There is at least another 1,500 like this. Some basic broken shell in the cover as well. House was redone in 2001.
