Hello i found this little one ~1cm long running around the rock and clam shell yesterday and today. Its nocturnal and would hide into the rock work when i flash light on it. It has a hard shell at the center like a limpet but the shell looks too smooth for a limpet. I had one tiny white shelled limpet at one point but never seen it again. Anyone have an idea what it is and whether its reef and clam safe?

Other possible suspects could be a fleshly limpet or Stomatella Snail but I'm definitely leaning more towards the Elephant Slug.

@ISpeakForTheSeas ?

Need better pictures for a proper ID but I could see it being everything mentioned above.
Put it in a small glass and put a peice of paper underneath for the best photos.
Yeah, +1 for both of these.

Elephant slugs (and several other fleshy limpet varieties) often cover their whole shell with their mantle (similar to cowry snails covering their whole shell); there's a good chance the white shell is under the black covering. That said, if the mantle is unretractable or if the shell doesn't match, then better pics would be needed for a solid ID here.
