Snails are really sensitive to salinity changes. Any chance your water change may have changed the salinity quickly? Maybe you were low before and it bumped you up or maybe did the change with fresh water knocking your salinity down?

I have a strict mixing guide I follow it takes me roughly 5 days to make my 15 gallons as close to identical as possible salinity is always around 1.025 i use only reef crystals and bought a water softening unit and rodi as well to make it at home daily. So no swings my friend was telling me they may not have enough algae to eat so I will try supplemental feeding

Looks like he may be ticked off and stuck against the wire, and he's trying a circus stunt, using the wire to get him flipped over.
