Every once in awhile I look in my tank and there are tiny snails all over. And then they're gone. Are they reproducing and then something is eating them? This pic is just a small sample of them in the tank now

They look like dwarf cerith snails. Not a typical hitchhiker. Usually put in tanks intentionally. They are great to have because they go all over rocks, glass, and through the sand. They eat diatoms, gha, film algae, and cyanobacteria. At night they typically hind in the sand and usually come out at night. They don't eat much so m po st people get dozens to help with algae control.
