I think when you building reefs this large its more like building a pool that supports life. Really cool! A 10% water change is 1200 gallons lol. At what point do you just start plumbing into the ocean?

Amazing setup. I was wondering if you make the saltwater or if you use sterilized natural saltwater out of the ocean?

we have also got rid of all of the leds we had on this tank as they were not growing coral well and would fail a lot .I had the same problem on my tank and tossed 13k worth of leds and went back to halides .

Thanks for sharing!

About the LEDs, could I ask what type you have used? We're running a couple of Kryos 300W as a test now at work. The LEDs on the first picture looks very much the same. :)

Wow I can only say is ridiculously beautiful, is like having slice a piece of the ocean and brought it home.
Please keep us posted with new picks

we were using maxspect 500 watt units . I had the same ones on my tank . most of the ones on my tank caught fire and burned up due to the ****** wiring and wrong gauge wire inside . I was ok with that since I found out you cant grow coral with them . went back to 1000 watt halides and I never looked back , just an expensive lesson to learn .

Its pretty cool , when we go down we go diving and catch fish to keep in the tank . everything does great . funny thing I have noticed is fish right out of the ocean will eat anything like pigs . no issues with ich since there is very little stress .

Thanks!

I think they are from the same factory as the Pacific Sun Kryos. Looks exactly the same :)
Probably not the best LEDs for coral tanks.
