Snowflake Eel

Can anyone give me any advice on this, thinking of getting a snowflake for my fish only tank which is 12ft long 600 gals, will it be aggressive with my fish have a few small ones in the tank has anyone had experience with this, Thanks for your time

They are normally pretty safe around most fish. Here's a couple of points to consider. If you get a larger one straight from the ocean there is more of a chance he may take down smaller fish. I would stick to something no bigger than 12" to start and stick trained in an observation tank. Once introduced stick to a strict feeding schedule, if it's every 3 days, make it every 3 days. On the 4th day he may go hunting. These are usually the 2 things that happen when a snowflake takes to eating fish.

Good advice from all above. All I can add is to remember the possibility that the snowflake may not START the fight. Valentini Puffers that peck at everything, (Picasso) Triggers that are totally swimming ----heads to tankmates, and others may pick a fight with the snowflake. The eel will almost always win, but then it WILL search hard for a way out. If you can poke your thumb in the opening the eel will go carpet surfing.
