That's awesome. I'm in northern Virginia now and I know we have owls around because I find pellets, but I haven't seen one. My neighbor says he's got big one that he sees regularly out in his back yard. I do see bald eagles all the time now though, and it's awesome. I was sitting at a stop light on my way to work over the summer and one swooped down into the median, snatched something up, and took off. There's something about predatory birds that's just awe inspiring. I actually work with a guy that is a master falconer (I didn't even know that was a thing) and hunts rabbits and whatnot with dang birds. He bought a new goshawk in the spring as a hatchling and had it in his car at work for like two months so he could go out and feed it strips of chicken every couple of hours. The thing is a stone cold killer now.
