Just curious what sodium hydroxide people are using (dry, liquid, where you got it)? How are you mixing it and what syringes are you using to apply it? I have a couple of aiptasia I need to take care of.

I got mine off of Amazon, it is dry crystal. I mix with 1/2 kalkwasser and water until it is a little thinner than a paste, it does get hot so be careful. I use a 10 mil syringe with a blunt tip to apply, Amazon has those too.

Interesting on the slurry. What made you decide to add kalk?

better make sure you wipe them out altogether...if not - they will release thousands of spores into your tank...and you will have many more than you do now..
