Soft Coral getting black

3 weeks back, i add one soft coral which is orange in color....Since 4 5 days, the coral is getting black brown from the edges...what could be the reason?
should i remove it or not?

Do you have any pics?

Is it getting to much light?

Also what type of soft coral is it?

i dont know the name,,,,,its orange color and looks like tree.......i dont have chiller and hallide lights......i have only one coral........i have only fishes with live rocks....
i use T5 lights

Probably Dendronephthya. Non photosynthetic and nearly impossible to keep alive in aquariums. Pics would help on the ID and care.

I've had this happen to leathers in the past too. I use a turkey bastor and blow it off, if it won't come off I use a sharp razor blade and cut the black part out. If left alone it'll start to spread. I've even seen it on easy stuff like Kenya trees.
