Soft coral ID help

Get it grown from a piece of live rock.
I actually have the rock for two years but it only grew out two months ago, when I set up a new tank and put the rock to a higher place.
It looks bit like a monti but it is soft

I think it's some type of algae, but I could be wrong and it could very well be a softie

Hmm... good point. I should touch it to see if it is an algae

Could be a sponge maybe.
