hello all!

What is this coral? I was so excited to pick this up because it was funky I forgot what my LFS said the name was. He also said it was uncommon.

Thanks in advance!

Sclerophytum flexibile - these were previously known as Sinularia flexibile.

yeah, pretty cool. I was looking for a neon green kenya tree, then this was presented and I couldn't resist!
Beautiful and easy coral. I’ve had to frag mine a few times, they are good growers. Like you I went in looking for a colt coral, the owner of my lfs said she hadn’t seen them in years and suggested this as an alternative.

Definitely could be. Nepthea will have needle like structures all in their tissue especially close to the base.
