Sorry about the tank.

Would you mind telling me what coral was in the back middle that looked like a ball and the purple looking one front middle slightly to the right? Thanks.

The ball one in the middle, towards the back when the tank was newer was a Indo Goni. It was one of my favorite pieces. Sadly it was too far from recovery, i tried and tried but it just

Which purple one? if its the leather, I got it as a "finger leather". Its actually a Purple/Blue Devil's Hand Leather.

I guess that your tank is very small to fit all these in, it is 65 gallon . you can just add few more fish like 3 or 4 small ones.

i probably shouldve made it more clear.. i mean thats the list of fish im thinking of but im only choosing maybe 3 tops. mayyybbeee 4.
I think you need a tank upgrade lol. Your tangs alone already max out your current tank. They grow increasingly faster. My blue hippo and yellow tang already need to be rehomed in my 90g after 7 months. Sailfins get even more massive than yellow tangs. I support you either way, but trust me, it’s sad to watch your tank when it’s over crowded, and you can tell it’s over crowded from your fish swimming quickly and ramming the glass(talking about my 90). Just trying to keep you out of a sad situation. Get a nice 300 gal for your tangs and the rest of that list could fit in there too, well minus the butterfly’s who will eat everything you own.

I plan to do this with my tank and saw it on the BRS/WWC video. They say to get the smaller breed bristletooth tangs and then bring to LFS and trade down when they grow too large for your tank. You'll always have good algae control and beautiful tangs win/win.

That is an excellent idea and I think I will give it a go on my 40 breeder. I think there will be enough algae (with nori additions) for him to eat and grow. Until such a size when he is traded to the store or another reefer.

I was snorkeling in Cancun Mexico recently and we were in a lagoon. There were MASSIVE tangs (and other fish) eating hair like algae off of the rocks.

Alrighty everyone. Starting when i come from school. i will be turning off the carbon in my tank. I think its time to let nature run its course and see how these softies will grow without being controlled. ill do weekly pic updates. Ill need someone to remind me tho. hahahaha!
