An easy way to prototype your LED project without worrying about solder.

A pane of sheet glass typically used for picture frames. 1/4" copper tape with conductive adhesive.

Lay down strips of copper tape to make your circuit, then use smaller pieces of tape to hold the LEDs in place.

NOTE: Glass is typically both an electrical AND thermal insulator (although synthetic diamond and other gem based glasses lean more towards thermal conduction), so this isn't going to work very well for LEDs that require heat sinks.

"Perfboard" works good in this situation, too if you're not worried about "looks" or have a plan to "hide" it
(LEDs get hot tho so plan on "raising" them off the fiberglass perfboard.
