Hi Marco,Vinny et al , I posted this question but got no response so I decided to start a thread about it, Because of the size of my tank the builder installed two massive cross braces each 24"x18"x 0.5" ,

With the Mitras positioned as they are ,under the braces are dark.

I will be installing the fourth LX 7 in the middle alongside the one that's there now, because of the water proofed design (and cost saving advantage !) of the LB2, I am thinking of going with one hung low directly over each brace, is this s good idea? do you think this will eliminate the issue?

Hard telling from here, but a 4th fixture should provide you more adequate coverage and not cause too much shading with the brace, is my guess. Unfortunately a lot will depend on how clean you can keep the brace.

I guess I'll see when I get the 4th unit, thanks!

I'm trying to decide if I should spring for an additional pair of LX7s or try the LB2s , I would be able to easily go with 4 LBs!

Could you possibly mount water proof led strips under the braces width wise to remove shadows?

I'm sure If I could find suitable ones , but what ever I go with must be controllable as my MITRAS follow a schedule with all the simulations being active.

So I have 1 of my prior lights ( Qmaven Zetlight 6600A) hanging around , I decided to experiment with it to see how it would light the area under the brace!

It totally eliminated the darkness beneath, now I just have to decide on which light!
