I see your top covers the entire top plane of your glass. I have a 65g and a cover made by Artfully Acrylic where the acrylic frame sits inside the tank and is supported by a few tabs - one on each corner, 2 more on the back and one on the front.

If you could modify your top to something similar that may help.

What ever you can do to get the water to not touch the lid. I think rubber washers would work or adjusting the flow rate on the surface. I know you said it has just slight agitation on the surface, but maybe if you point the return to a different place it will not allow any waves to reach the lid and start to creep.

Thanks all. I am going to try to separate the lid from the top of the glass first. If that doesn't work, I am going to post some more pictures here and see if we can possibly lower the water level....I will also try and point one of the returns a bit lower, and see if that helps at all.

Thanks again guys!

Water level has to be an inch from top to alleviate. Through evaporation, the condensation will collect and also creep down on sides.
The screen seems to sit on entire rim. My two smaller tanks have space all the way around with No creep. May be entrapping water and moisture.

I have a rimless tank, when I had clowns in my tank they were notorious for splashing water on the back side of the tank at night. I used magnetic frag racks up high, couldn’t see them to stop it from happening. Until I got rid of them!

the condensation if building up on the bottom glass & then running to the edges we can agree on that. I bet if KKerm went with screen tops the water running down the glass would stop .
It wouldn't be able to build into water drops & run to the edges . I realize it looks real nice ,it's up to you .

I would hate to just throw away and expensive lid, I understand what you are saying though. Trying to put gaps between the lid and the glass this weekend to see if that works first. Haven't had time this week yet though.

I have the exact same lid as yours but made for IM nuvo 20. My water level is a few inches lower than yours. Zero issues with mine even with my power heads pointing at the surface. Can post pic when home

I need to post some closer pictures of the water line, overall, and salt creep issues. Maybe there is a way to lower the water line and I just haven't figured it out

I would raise the lid as you said first. Other options are a lot more work. They make stick on clear feet for cabinet doors. Also clear plastic washers and feet of all kinds can be found at the hardware store. Also a dab of clear silicone in each corner might also work (allow it to dry first)

Hey all, I raised the lid with rubber washers on Saturday and so far, it looks like a major improvement! Going to wait a couple more days before declaring a success. Thank you for all your ideas!
