So running into a bit of a concern. I will post parameters.

Within the past week I've had a mushroom for whatever reason halfway let go so pulled him and another off to relocate. Maybe a bad call but it happened and he's currently rubber banded to a rock. I have a very small leather that has been closed up for 3-4 day now at this point. But have read that they can do that for no apparent reason sometimes. Today is more alarming, my zoa seems a bit ticked and not full open. The only thing I can maybe think off, over the past 5 days I've dosed I've 5ml per gallon of reef code a because my calcium dipped. I'm still leveling out my numbers and am finally getting a dosing pump instead of manually dosing every day. Yesterday zoa looked fine, today he seems irritated. I also did a major change yesterday, removed a big rock and added a tree type rock, it's a coralife rock. So quite a bit was stirred up. But I've currently been running carbon for 2 weeks in my media chamber. Also just to be sure ammonia is reading undetectable as well. Could zoa react from lack of flow. I turned off a power head a week ago I felt like too much flow in my tank.

Something I also did yesterday when relocating a monti frag to the new rock, when supergluing I usually use a separate cup to let the superglue skim over, but I just used a tank, and I saw some sort of degree/chemical slick come off of it, not sure if that can be a major issue.

Anyways, any input would be helpful.

I can't tell what's going on but had similar issue when I manually dosed. Once I started using an auto doser everything was fine. I assumed I was not consistent in measuring even though I tried my best. Or I dosed at different times each day. Good luck, hope you figure it out.

Well that’s my hopes, but still I typically don’t let my numbers get to out of wack

You turned off the flow a week ago and since 5 days ago it started. Hmmnn….. corals need flow to survive and thrive. Leathers love flow, even zoa’s need flow. I would turn the flow back on personally

No only one power head, I have two working in reverse wave making pattern. They are hg042 x2 I reduced to only one . But at further inspection with my one wave maker, I wasn’t getting much polyp movement on the zoa, I I reverted to my previous set up

I would guess it’s a combination of a change in flow and the water change. Corals don’t like sudden changes even if it’s beneficial. Multiple changes at once may have ticked them off. Give them some time to adjust, but I would bring the flow back to where you had it before.

Your parameters aren’t raising any red flags to me. The only other thing I could think of is something leaching into the water or contaminated water was used for the water change. An ICP test would need to be used to determine this.

I have concerns about my ato reservoir being an orange Home Depot bucket

Some ICP tests, like Fauna Marin’s Total ICP test, will test your RO water for you to see if there are any contaminants that can’t be detected otherwise. It will take about a week to get the results back.
