Great looking build! Are you going to have the lights plugged into the apex? I would on mine but the CBB cord is too short so I have to use one of those ugly white outlet timers for it. You could put two dressed up pillars under the over hangs. What are you thinking for a stock list? You could potentially section off parts of the tank since it’s so long, or go for some real swimmers! Lots of potential. And how are you going to handle the flow situation? Gyres on each end? Bare bottom, so you probably want a lot of flow and SPS but your gonna have to figure that out with a 10’ tank. I am a bit further than you in starting a tank up. I’m doing the WWC/BRS hybrid method, you should check out the YouTube videos on it. Ep20 does a full recap. Right now I’m waiting on coralline algae to start growing so I can add corals
Plan is to run power to two strips up top, and plug all the whites into one, and blues into another, and connect them both to the apex below. I have no idea how to work the apex yet, so we will see!
As far as flow, I have two 1500gph Koralias, and Five MP40’s..... No idea where they will go yet.
I will hopefully work on two pillars for the ends soon..... I had nothing but time before, and now I feel like I am running out of time with the tank being finished soon!
I am moving all rock etc from my 75g, but I am planning on buying a dry, drilled (big holes through it) rock from a local shop that weighs about 70lbs....... it’s huge and it will be the centerpiece of the tank/scape
I don’t get into the glueing-rocks together stuff. I just like bigger stable pieces.
As far as fish, I am tossing around the idea of a Powder Brown, Kole, and Blonde Naso Tang. So 3-tangs and just a bunch of clean-up-crew
