I got a zoa garden with a variety of species from big polyp like nightmare to small polyp like kingmidas. All seem to be fine except the pink mohawks. Tried dip in hydrogen peroxide, dip rx, iodide dip, dosing iod, no help. It been closing for nearly a week but no sign of melting. Had a frag of bambam not open like this before but open back after i dose iod. Is there any reason for this? Anything i can do to save this frag of pink mohawk?

How old is the tank? Share some parameters (no3 and po4)?
Are they in high flow or no flow area?
What's the lighting like in that area they are in?

Do you have fish? Do you feed the zoas?

Need more info to help troubleshoot, but that's where I'd start looking at.

Not a great answer but sometimes with Zoa's they just don't like a tank even with pristine parameters. If you can I would move the frag to a shaded spot in tank and see if it opens and just leave it alone. All that dipping has probably really ticked it off.

Tank is 6months old. No3 20-25ppm, po4 0.2-0.3. I put them in low flow area with my mushroom. I dont have the accurate par of the spot they in. I use a 100w led light with the setting of half of the intensity. Light to water surface is about 20cm and water surface to the bottom where the zoas at is also about 20cm. I do feed the zoas and mushrooms twice a week one day with ab+ and other day with polyplab boost + reefroid. The tank only have 1 male mandarin dragonet.

I’ll try it. Its so frustrating that this frag was open few first days when it brought into the tank but decided to close for no reason

Move the mushroom away to another part of the tank for now. Might be chemical warfare. Wait a day or so if the zoas respond. Then if no response, increase flow then wait another day. The last thing I'd to try and change is the light.

Your nitrates and phosphates are fine for zoas. We were thinking it's lower than that.

I've had better success with zoas when there's flow (not strong but you can see them extend to open and accept food). Do these changes one at a time. They aren't melting so it's not a bug or bacteria that's infected them yet.

The shrooms and zoas are seperated, i dont put them near others only zoa with zoa and shroom with shroom, they just both in the part of my tank that got low flow

I’ll try put it in shaded area first. If it not helping then i will try put in stronger flow
