Starting a build thread for my new reef system. Went a bit different than what I’ve seen and setup a three tank custom cabinetry system.

This build centers around a 72x30x24 SPS dominant display tied into two separate side systems that are 30”x30”x16” — one focused on Gigantea anemones and the other for acans, mushrooms, and lower flow LPS. Everything runs through a shared sump and dedicated filtration room setup in the garage.

Still a long way to go, but the system is finally starting to come together. Received my side tanks but main tank was lost in shipment. Should be here soon though so I can get the main SPS display going.

Started the side tanks, sump and frag tank with most of the live rock from my old 250g system and most corals from that system.

Kickoff on the two side tanks have been great. Using the established rock really helped not have any uglies (knock on wood).

Looking forward to sharing the progress.

Very nice! Looking forward to seeing it all put together.

Anaheim huh? I'm really peeved that First China Kitchen closed down. It was one of the last good reasons we had to drive there from Phoenix lol. I'm an Anaheim native so it's good to come home once in a while, been craving Shakey's Pizza lately so maybe a road trip is in order 🥰
