Just checked my clownfish who just started hosting last night. Now he has something white on the top of his left gill. It looks like he might have been stung there too.
I know my nem is bleached. I just got it and waiting for it to color up.

Thanks. Yes, it seems to have gone away. I think it might have been a piece of sand.No other clowns in with it?
Bubble tips don't really cause stings on clowns, but some LPS corals do - but those stings typically look darker due to hypermelanization.
The fish looks good in all other respect, I don't see anything immediately treatable at this point.

I've been checking every day. No sign of it coming back luckily!Keep an eye out for it. Can also be bad bacteria. Treating my big female fancy for what I thought was sand.

The first day I put him in, my mushroom coral decided to melt and I spent the night holding him up at the top of the tank. I'm attached to my little nemo.Mines all good. I put her back in the main tank this evening. A small male dicided to start fighrs with her. He has been big time trouble since I got him. So I moved him to my brother’s tank. He will get another to put him with. Yes you’re blessed to have gotten rid of your issue! :relieved-face:
Me too haha. Lucky my brothers tank has other fish. So I didn’t have to sell the Dr Evil. Haha. And I get to see him. He might pair him with a big female a LFS has in stock. The first day I put him in, my mushroom coral decided to melt and I spent the night holding him up at the top of the tank.
