was looking at my coral and noticed a bunch of black spots don't know if it's a pest or polyps that receded

I notice my encrusting sps does that when the polyps aren't extended. They usually extend the next day as long as there's no algae brushing it.

Looks like the polyps in that area have retracted. Completely normal, probably a fish or something passed by that general area.
