I have a 65g reef with tons of peaceful inhabitants. I purchased a pistol shrimp a few months ago that paired up with my YWG instantly. They are still paired up. I had one before but it disappeared for a few months, so we thought it was dead and got a new one.

something weird has been happening recently... My pistol shrimp is snapping a few times a minute the entire day. It keeps clicking. My tank mates stay away, so they arent the ones causing it. My ywg is always in front of his "house" not touching the pistol shrimp or anything, but occasionally goes in. What could be making my pistol shrimp snap? It is a tiger pistol shrimp.

Thanks all

They do this for hunting and communication

The cave is pretty big, but I havent seen both of them at once... If there were 2 you're right it would explain the snapping and also it would explain the reason my ywg is moving from one cave to another... (forgot to mention that)
