Sony mirrorless DSLR

Anyone here shoot with any of Sony’s mirrorless dslr’s?

If so, what are your favorite lenses/accessories?


I use the Sony a6000 and it’s great, but I’m thinking of jumping up to the a7riii.

I run a mirrorless system, but I went with Fujifilm XT2. Overall happy with the switch from traditional DSLR. Much smaller size and the fujifilm camera and lenses are very well made. I do miss the full sized sensor of my old Nikon though. I really have to crank the iso in darker conditions.
The sony's are full size sensors right? That might be really nice, but I have never used them.

I'm a canon guy, 1dx mkii, 5dmkiv but the songs are real nice too. Either the a7iii or a7riii are great cameras. If your using it to photograph the tank a macro lens would be a must. Unless you need the extra resolution the a7iii would save you enough money to get a nice lens and 24 mp is a real sweet spot for sensor performance. Better low light capabilities then the higher mp sensor. Above all get a full frame camera. It will have better performance and better image quality then any crop sensor. The Sony a7iii doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade from the a6000 aside from a move to the full frane vs aps-c, and I can’t justify the $1500 or so for just that. I want to stay with Sony b/c of the lenses I already have and autofocus tech. My a6000 is great to be honest, but I just like new toys.

I am however also in the market for a new macro lens in the ballpark of 85-105mm focal distance if you have any rec’s.

I have move from Canon to Sony. Started with an A7ii then upgraded to a A7iii. My favorite lens is the 85mm/1.4 GM. Some samples images using 100m2.8 macro, 24-27/2.8, 85/1.4.

I'm making the move to a mirrorless setup as well and had originally planned on going with an A7II (price point of the III doesn't offer a lot for me) but the Fuji XT3 offers so much bang for the buck the Sony just isn't in the picture for me. If I already had Sony glass, that would be a no-brainer.

I have a Fuji XT-2 as my travel camera. It's superb. There's something very unique about the color of Fuji images. You can't go wrong with the Fuji system. Great optics at a reasonable cost.

There’s nothing wrong with the a6000, not a big quality improvement picture wise going up. Invest in glass would be better.

The A7ii was on sale for $999 this weekend so I took the plunge. I've only messed with it for about 40 minutes now but I've got the color pretty dang close (no post processing on the color but I did adjust exposure and contrast). I'm sure there is still room for improvement in the color but it's acceptable. Lots more to learn!

I have the a7ii with the 50mm/2.8 macro. I have no clue how to use it though so everything is on auto mode.
I would love Sony's 100mm macro but I cant justify $1100 bucks when I dont do this for a living lol.

I think your doing just fine with the 50mm
