It was hard for me to understand, too, but I was going to treat it as a bacterial disease, and I thought the dead fish might have been infected with bacteria on its gills, which were white. I cleaned the cyst with hydrogen peroxide last night, yesterday it still ate a lot of food, today came back from work to check whether it is OK.
