I currently have a MJ1200 driving my BP reactor and it gets into chatter mode and the noise makes me craze. Therefore, I bought a MAG 3 to replace it, as they are roughly the same output. The MAG 3 came with a plastic base with no feet, and I know when I drop it in my sump it will slide around on the glass and begin chattering too. When it does, I won't be happy. What are you folks doing to create an isolation mount for a pump like that?

Thanks in advance.

set it on a silicone mouse pad or silicone baking sheet/cutting board. That seems to work for most of my pump noise.

Thanks. That sounds simple enough. In my mind, it was going to be much more involved than that. I am a big fan of simple.

I ziptied some 3/4" hose to the bottom of my mag5, made a huge difference. Sometimes its so quiet that I have to go make sure the pump is running.
