I’m wanting to try to buy a few maricultured tenuis colonies to try to color up. Any sources for reliably labeled Tenuis?

Sigh... if only Indonesia. I wonder how all the MC acros are doing right now in Indo? Sitting pretty and healthy and probably massive right now...

If you are talking wild, then you can call some transshippers and wholesalers. I have never seen the ability to just request one species, though... you will get a hand selected mix and they usually will give you a few more of the ones that you like. You usually have to get 20+ and it will be well more than $1000 to land them at your local international airport. livestockusa can get you some boxes.

If you are really talking Mari, then you have seen what they have... mari grow and ship the same ones almost all the time.

There are some recent thoughts that there has only really be 8-10 different tenuis coming in and all of the different names are from the same corals.

I’m definitely in that camp. That’s part of the reason I want to grow a few out and see what they end up looking like.

If you've got to the setup to do it, get a box of wilds like jda mentioned. This is probably the only way you'll have a chance at getting something unique.

You can look at LA to see what most of the common mariculture pieces are looking like coming from Aus right now. Nothing special, but still some really nice colonies if you can color them up.
