Added a spanish hogfish a week ago to a 300g fowlr tank. Mixed woth some large angels, tangs, harlequin tusk, eels and doing great.
Love the active fish and colors so much so that I am thinking of adding a cuban hogfish.
Anyone have any experience and thoughts of having 2 similar hogfish? I am thinking I would have a better chance since the spanish hog has only been in the tank for a relatively short time.
Thanks

i cant think

I wouldn’t risk it as these are two aggressive species but they are also close in colour and body shape. It may work out but chances are they will fight to the death.

Spanish hogs are on my list of ‘never again’ fish… Cuban hog is on ‘must have’ list. Don’t think that I’ve been without a CH in at least 1 reef tank since the mid ‘70s !
