Spawning pairs of fish (black o + dottybacks)
Black Ocellaris
Previously spawning pair of black ocellaris for sale. I got this pair from Joe Lichtenbert at the beginning of August and since they've just been moved they haven't resumed spawning yet. According to the records Joe kept this pair was pretty productive...these guys spawned every 11-13 days and were one of a few pairs of fish to arrive at my house with a nest of eggs. To attempt to keep them spawning I didn't pull that clutch but they're definitely productive little buggers when they do spawn! Asking $800 + actual shipping cost.
Queensland Dottyback Pair
We acquired these guys January 8th of this year and paired them up ourselves. We suspected that they were spawning and we weren't catching it, but they spawned 2 weeks ago Friday. The eggs hatched after 5-6 days but we didn't pull the egg ball...we've got enough on our hands without trying to raise demanding dottyback larvae! :) Below are two pictures of the fish prior to pairing, while they were being acclimated (pic from January).
These are large dottybacks, the male is probably 6-7" and the female 3-4". They're getting along very well (for dottybacks) in a 55g tank with plenty of PVC "pipe bombs" and eat heartily. Since these are relatively uncommon fish and pairs are even harder to find, we'd really like to get $350 + actual shipping costs for the pair. A live arrival guarantee can possibly be arranged, but terms and conditions must be met. That being said, Richard has shipped thousands of fish in his breeding career, and is very capable of shipping fish :)
