Question @saltyfilmfolks @Dana Riddle .

I have 2 different brand lights over a tank. I have the radion XR 15 blues and a Hydra 52HD.

Can I get the spectrum of the Hydra close to the XR15s by Lux metering each channel individually? Like I meter only the Royal blues of the Radion then try to match the intensity of the Royal blues on the Hydra etc?

Hey, give it a shot..
One thing though your nm peaks may not exactly match.
Like 420 violets vs 410 violets not even considering manuf err "allowances" of peak wavelength.

LUX meters also weak in blue and red accuracy since it is not primarily the spectrum of concern.

I would think, as long as you have channels relatively closely matched you could do a relative par match (close to each other not close to actual) better than a eyeball spectrum match due to mis-matched frequencies.
PAR goes by numbers of photons not what they look like.

Either way though, lot of room for errors.

Here, in this article, are a few lux to PAR conversions. Hope this helps some.

Thanks Dana but I was more looking to get spectrum close vs Par close.
