I wonder if clip on visors for all lights can have reflectors like a T5 light to keep the light in the aquarium and improve spread rather than just block it.

Also what’s the best reflective material?

The best reflective material in a general sense.

Barium sulfate is a white powder that has historically been used as a reference standard
(Weidner and Hsia, 1981). It may be a less expensive alternative to higher priced white
standards that use sintered PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene; Spectralon®, Labsphere, Inc., North
Sutton, NH). A 500 g bottle of BaSO4 costs $25, whereas reflectance standard made of
Spectralon® and with a 99% reflectance factor costs $385. However, pure barium sulfate dries
to a powder and easily rubs off surfaces.
Most just settle for aluminum.

The reflectivity of a clean, pure, and highly polished aluminum surface is very high, often exceeding 90% for visible light, but it can be reduced by factors like surface condition, coatings, and wavelength. Bare aluminum can achieve reflectivities around 90-92% in the visible spectrum, making it ideal for applications like solar reflectors and lighting. However, anodizing can decrease reflectivity for increased durability, while rough or oxidized surfaces will be less reflective than polished ones
AI Overview

Standard white paints reflect about 80-90% of sunlight, but newer "ultrawhite" paints can reflect up to 98% of solar energy. The reflectivity of a paint depends on its composition, with barium sulfate being a key component in high-reflectivity white paints to scatter sunlight and infrared heat. High reflectivity is desirable for cooling surfaces like roofs, as it reduces the amount of heat absorbed by the surface

Sorry i've just been having fun w/ AI..
