can a fish be allergic to spirulina a while back I bought some spiraling pellets and started to give it to my fish they all took it about three days later I noticed the my fox stopped eating as a matter of fact he stopped eating for about three days and then all the of the sudden started eating again. at that time i stopped giving them the spirulina now a few days ago I got two copper bands and I started to give them the pellets and the fox started to set them today he stopped eating again could he be allergic he's a pig when it comes to eating i just threw it away no more spirulina. any body have any knowledge on this.:squigglemouth:

I've never heard of fish having allergies, but don't see why they couldn't. I know next to nothing about biology, but I'd say it's possible. Highly unlikely that we'd have them in the trade considering how many fish are in the ocean, but still possible.
I think there may be something else going on though. Can't say what though.

Well it only has happend when I feed the spirulina and only him its realy weird I mean he comes to eat but he just looks at the food and leaves hes fat I mean hes great hes been with me now for almost two years am going to check him out if he starts eating again the theres something in that food the messes with his appetite

Does he eat other types of pellets?
It's possible his body isn't digesting the pellets properly so he's constantly feeling full.
Is he pooping while not eating?

No the never eat pellets I give them frozen misid brine, clams , muzzels crill you all that good stuff I switch it up I only gave it because you know this copperbands are preaty finicky their eating the clams and muzzels already but I guess in the little time the fox had the pellets
