splash guard

Just wondering if I should run my lighting system with or without the splash gaurd. Its a t5 light with 12 36" bulbs.
Im sure it will get salt and moisture into it over time without it. But how many of you run your lights without it. Thanks for the input

I use a splash guard all the time. I am not willing to put my lighting system at risk.

After you see how much salt spary gets on the splash guard it will make you think twice about not using one.

I wouldn't risk it. Saltwater is highly corrosive and lights are expensive. My splash guard takes a lot of abuse but it protects the lights. Good luck!
