I have a candy cane that had 3 heads when I got it about a year ago.
It has not split to over 2 dozen.
I'll try to get some pix of it up when I get home tonight.
 
Here's pix of mine/
This started out as 3 heads about 1 year ago.
It's got 9 heads now (sorry I said 24 before).
