the candy cane was doing good but now it has that dark spot, it is hard to tell if that is the boney part of the coral poking through. Was hoping someone could help.

On a side note, on that one Duncan polyp, is that it splitting?

TIA

pH 7.91 (trying to boost higher, been a rough go)
dkh 8
Calcium 480
Mag 1430
Temp 79
Tropic Marin Pro Reef Salt
Tank is about 2 mos old.

Probably a water issue. I see you have multiple corals not doing well.
What could be off with the params? I am not sure if they are not doing well or I am impatient so I posted in a few places. The montipora seems to be growing but a little faded. The leather, not sure if its from dipping and such or something else.

This one seems to be looking rough, just not sure what params I am missing?

I posted my params,

Additional was (yesterday at LFS)
Nitrite 0.2
Nitrate 7
Phos 0.2

What are you using for water changes and how often. how old is the tank. Leather looks bad. What is that sticking out the middle of the leather? The spot on the candy cane is damaged flesh.
Water changes every 1-2 weeks, 5 gallons, Tropic Marin Pro Reef. Tanks is 2 mos old. The middle of the leather, that is a toothpick that was there when I got the coral (part of frag).

Should I move the candy cane to another location? Only thing I am seeming to fight is alk, which I dosed soda ash yesterday as my alk was 6.6 (at LFS -- 118 I think was the number). I dosed a little soda ash (BRS in 1 gallon of RODI) I think I did 20ml last night which moved it to about 8 which was what they recommended as the max amount to move it. I have a protein skimmer as well running along with flow a single sided gyre (at like 40%), and a Nero3 running at like 20-40%.

it sort of looks like bite marks, anything "reef safe with caution" in your tank?
2 Clowns, some small blue leg hermits, about 5 nassarius snails, a cleaner shrimp and a bi-color damsel. So far the only thing I have seen is the clown attacking me, nothing else.
