sponge dying?

Blue photosynthenic platting sponge dying or somthing.Im not an expert at sponge , theres a before and after

While. I keep ornamental sponges from Caribbean/GOM, they are filter feeders. I doubt that your sponge is 100% photosynthetic. How do you know that it is photosynthetic?

Better describe your system? How mature is iyour system with respect to biodiversity? How long has sponge been in your system?

I think I have that same sponge. Mine is pretty durable. I've had it entirely buried by fish moving sand and it still didn't die. What par do you have it at? I'm noticing that as I add lights to my tank the sponges seem to keep doing better.
