I came home a few minutes ago and my blue sponge was excreting a shiny clear substance. It is a little puffed. Could the anenome next to it be causing a problem.
Hmm. If you think the other coral/s are not bothering it just use an old powerhead or perhaps a soft brush and rid the coral of that muck. (consider it a cold) If it's back within 12 hours or say though it might be a problem. GL.
It is my understanding that this is normal for this species. I suspect it is a symbiotic bacteria that aids in defense of the sponge. That is speculation on my part after reading some papers on Lendenfeldia chondrodes.
